Viagra and Relationships
Can Viagra Harm Relationships?

Viagra which is commonly known as the little blue pill has been on the market since 1998 and if you ask most men who have used it they will tell you that it has helped their relationship.

Viagra is used for treating erectile dysfunction which is a common problem among men over 40. If you have had a very active sex life prior to getting erectile dysfunction it can have a detrimental effect on your relationship. Viagra has been known to help with this and allow men to once again enjoy a healthy sex life.

The question has on occasion risen as to whether or not taking Viagra can actually harm your relationship and the simple answer to this was that in cases yes it can. Whilst Viagra is most know for having helped relationships there are some cases where it can harm them particularly if both partners are not open and honest with each other. As with everything in life communication is vital and if you don’t tell you partner that you are suffering from erectile dysfunction and that there is a problem this can cause a lot of tension and Viagra can’t take that away.

If the cause of the erectile dysfunction stems from relationship problems Viagra can help to restore sexual activity but it cannot cure the main problem. A little blue pill cannot help you if you are suffering from emotional stress or if you have relationship problems to start with. Remember; in order for Viagra to work you have to be sexually aroused. If you are not, Viagra won’t work and this could be why it may be seen to harm your relationship.

You have built up Viagra in your head and seem to think that it is the cure you have been looking for but if you relationship is suffering and you are emotionally drained Viagra will not have the desired effect that you are after and disappointment will ensue.

If erectile dysfunction is brought on due to emotional or relationship problems this will tend to cause your sex drive to decrease and even if you take Viagra it probably won’t work. If you feel embarrassed because of your inability to perform you will probably stop trying and this in itself will harm your relationship not taking Viagra. You need to be sexually stimulated in order for Viagra to work and this means being physically attracted to your partner and wanting to have a sexual relationship with them.

As you can see, Viagra or indeed Cialis do not harm your relationship but it won’t help it either if your underlying problems are due to relationship issues or emotional problems. Erectile dysfunction affects millions of men worldwide and if you intend to use Viagra as a treatment for this you need to make sure that you know the root cause of your problem first. Then and only then will you be able to fully assess whether or not Viagra will be harmful to your relationship but in most cases you will find that Viagra is in fact a great benefit to most relationships.
